MAPPA Awareness Raising Training – 9th March 2018

This free training is aimed at front line practitioners and their managers, those working with offenders who pose a risk of violent or sexual harm, or their victims.
This half day event is delivered by experienced practitioners based in the MAPPA Support Unit.
The aim of the event is to provide learners with an understanding of:
- the purpose and function of MAPPA
- the framework for the identification of MAPPA offenders
- the principles of information sharing and disclosure
- an understanding of your role and responsibilities to MAPPA.
When sending nominations please can you include:
- Nominee’s name
- Job title
- Team they are based with
- Address with contact number, and
- Name of Manager.
Places are not guaranteed and confirmation that a place has been allocated and details of the venue will then be forwarded to the nominee.
Managers will be informed if the nominee does not attend the seminar.
The Salford Safeguarding Board will charge agencies for staff who fail to attend if they are not informed at least 5 working days before the seminar. This includes participants who arrive late and are not admitted by the trainers as they have missed a section of the course or participants who on the day inform the trainers they need to leave early.
The charge for this seminar would be £40 which would be requested after the session.
